On the 3rd September I wrote to you about the month ahead and as part of this letter I highlighted that on the 23rd September we would be holding an expansion meeting – this is an opportunity for you to see the final proposals for the school and to talk with the architects. The team will be based in the hall for a parent and local resident drop in session – this will run from 3pm – 4pm and all are welcome.
Following parental survey results from last June it became evident that parents wanted to know more about how the school deals with bullying including cyber and e-safety. To address this issue the school replaced the behaviour policy with a new one that graded behaviour in to four levels and made it explicitly clear about how we deal consistently with all forms of behaviour including bullying. You can view this policy on this blog and the school website or by requesting a copy from the office. Parents also requested to know more about cyber bullying and as a result of this the school held an event last week with PC Fiona Jay – unfortunately only 10 parents attended. If you were unable to attend I will be attaching the PowerPoint shown over the next day.
Unfortunately I have not been able to stand on the gate the past two mornings due to a course today (Thursday) and having a meeting yesterday. I will be on the gate as normal tomorrow and leading Reward Assembly. Looking on to next week I am out of school on both Monday and Tuesday morning attending OFSTED update training. I will return to the gate on Wednesday but if you do have any issues at all then please don’t hesitate to make an appointment with the office.
