This week has been a very busy week at school with lots going on including: Y5/6 investigating a mock alien crash on the field and then doing some creative learning about this, Mr Lawrence led a very successful Maths workshop for middle school parents, twenty three of our pupils represented the school in two football matches which resulted in a 2-2 draw and a 2-1 defeat and finally, Miss Nickerson will take fifteen children to Mount Nod tomorrow to meet with the author Wendy Meddour.
May I also please remind you that tomorrow we will be holding a PTA film night – all children will need to be collected at the latest by 5:45pm.
I am aware that a number of parents have been asking about when the school photographs will be ready. Please rest assured that the office team have chased John Wright photography and they are currently being printed.
An important notice
As you may be aware there has been significant press coverage regarding safeguarding in Coventry schools. To address this Network 10 schools (of which our school is one) have been working together to ensure best practice and robust systems are in place. This approach is enabling all eleven schools to address safeguarding in the most effective way possible for our children.
I believe lines of communication at Park Hill are strong in relation to child protection issues with all staff explicitly clear about the need to report all issues of concern to the safeguarding officers (I am the lead and Mrs Bailey is also a designated member of staff). Staff are reminded on a weekly basis during the team briefing of protocols and systems and our Senior Leadership Team discuss child protection matters as part of a weekly set agenda.
Thank you for your ongoing support,
