I’d like to begin by thanking all parents and carers for your support over the past term and in particular the past week. School was incredibly busy last week with Christmas productions taking place and the PTA discos – your support in helping children to learn their lines, provide costumes and attend a range of events was very much appreciated. On the note of the school discos – I think that the PTA did a wonderful job of laying on a brilliant event and I’d like to thank all of the PTA and volunteers for their hard work and effort. I have seen at first hand how hard Lindsay Stringer (Chair of the PTA) and Emma Timms (Vice Chair) have worked on a range of events and in the past two weeks they have been practically camped at school!
This week is a lower key affair with lots of learning still to take place and towards the end of the week each class will be having a Christmas party. On Wednesday we will be holding the Christmas lunch – this year (for the first time) we will be hosting this in the hall and to help us all get in to the spirit of things the children can bring in a Christmas hat or wear a piece of tinsel if they choose. Children who have a packed lunch are welcome to do the same and also decorate their lunch boxes with decorations if they so choose. Finally, on Friday the whole school will watch the PAS Christmas panto ‘Aladdin’.
Thanks for all of your support,
Steve Taylor
